A refreshing and vibrant Raspberry Rooibos Tea Smoothie combining antioxidant-rich rooibos tea with fresh raspberries, banana, and creamy Greek yogurt. Naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup, this smoothie offers a healthy and delicious way to start your day or enjoy as a revitalizing snack.

Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed Rooibos tea (cooled)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries (or frozen)
  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt for a vegan option)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)

Instructions

  1. Brew and cool the tea: Brew 1 cup of Rooibos tea using rooibos tea leaves or tea bags and allow it to cool completely to room temperature to avoid melting the ice or diluting the smoothie.
  2. Prepare ingredients: Gather all ingredients including the cooled Rooibos tea, fresh or frozen raspberries, sliced banana, Greek or dairy-free yogurt, and your choice of sweetener (honey or maple syrup). Optionally, measure out ice cubes if you prefer a chilled smoothie.
  3. Blend the ingredients: Add the cooled Rooibos tea, raspberries, banana slices, yogurt, sweetener, and ice cubes (if using) to a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy with no visible chunks.
  4. Serve immediately: Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and enjoy immediately for the freshest flavor and best texture.

Notes

  • Use frozen raspberries to make the smoothie colder and creamier without adding extra ice.
  • For a vegan option, substitute Greek yogurt with your favorite plant-based yogurt and use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/maple syrup according to your taste.
  • To enhance nutrition, consider adding a tablespoon of chia seeds or flaxseeds before blending.
  • This smoothie is best consumed fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Stir or shake well before serving if stored.
